You will get fried in this condo – Thailand EMF Measurement
A few days ago I was measuring this condo for any potential health risks in Thailand. It is a great condo. Top floor, corner unit, etc. The client was interested to buy it but is very sensitive to EMF fields at the same time so she wanted to see how healthy this condo is regarding EMF building biology standards.
It has a great location. Center of the city, 5 minutes walking to the beach, very nice location, huge Olympic pool. What else do you need right?
The condo is only 10 years old and looks a little outdated inside, I guess it was rented out a lot.
I took out my gear and this is what I found out.
Low-Frequency Fields Measurement ( electric and magnetic fields)
I first used a low-frequency meter to measure low-frequency fields. Where the person sleeps in the bed, the electric fields were a bit elevated, but I contribute that to the lighting behind the head and the wires. It was only 3.8 V/m so nothing strong. The healthy level of low-frequency electric fields is a maximum of 1 V/m. Check the building biology standards table at the end of this article. The results were still at weak levels, so that is great. When I turned off the light, the levels dropped to 1 V/M, which is perfect.
Then I measured magnetic fields which are measured in nT (nano teslas). The healthy levels are below 20 nT. I have measured it around 53 nT, which is a little elevated, but nothing drastic.
But a few minutes later I measured them again and this time they were in the healthy range of 20 nT. I suspect that a small powerline has something to do with this. It is placed just below the balcony.
Even though this condo is on the 8th floor, the magnetic fields from the powerline were reaching the condo interior. There are fluctuations of magnetic fields throughout the day, which I find really strange.
As I mentioned in other videos, low-frequency magnetic fields are impossible to block with any kind of shielding. So if you come across a living space with strong magnetic fields, like the one in a house in Bangkok I recommend moving. All other fields are easy to block. I am talking about low-frequency electric and high-frequency fields. They can be shielded with EMF paint, and curtains, that we offer in our store.
High-Frequency Fields (microwaves)
Then I measured the high-frequency fields and I was SHOCKED. I measured 1270 µW/m2 (microwatts per square meter). The recommended maximum level is 0.1 µW/m1, so that is 12700 x more than the recommended level. I quickly realized that Thailand is building mobile towers everywhere and this condo is open to the rest of the city, where all mobile towers are. You can see the whole city from windows, and balconies.
Even though the view is great, you are not blocked by any buildings. For example this condo is shielded by other buildings in Pattaya Thailand. 1270 µW/m2 is an extremely high-frequency field level. And that is inside the condo, not on the balcony. The levels were somewhere between 700 – 1300 µW/m2. This is huge. Living in a place like this, who knows what can happen? How will your body take it? Seeing such high levels is rare, but if your place is not shielded by other structures, and is facing toward a big city, this is what happens. It is like having a mobile phone that is receiving a call 24/7 near your body, brain, heart, and vital organs. .
Safe EMF Building Biology Levels
Here are the recommended EMF values by building biology standards, as you can see below Electric fields are best under 1 V/M, Magnetic under 20 nT and High-frequency fields under 0.1 µW/m2
Ley (Lay) Lines Thailand
And lastly the ley lines. The Hartmann ley line was passing just where the feet are through the bed. I recommended moving the bed a little more towards the window, so you avoid sleeping where the ley line is. Otherwise, the situation was good. Most important was the bed location. It needs to be free of any ley line interference.
CONCLUSION
This condo is a tricky one. The biggest problems are microwaves or so-called high-frequency fields. which are at extreme levels inside the condo. They can be shielded easily with paint and EMF curtains of course. So that is an option the client is ready to go for if they will buy the condo.
The lesson of this video, sometimes the great view is visually wonderful but is not best for your health. And Thailand placing mobile towers every 100 meters or so to get the best 4G, 5G coverage is also a huge problem. But this happens in almost every big metropolis city in the world.
