Properties

With this EMF shielding base, you can build a full Faraday cage effect with a canopy. This base shields EMF radiation from below the bed. It has a very high EMF protection of 88dB blocking. It lies flat on the floor and includes grounding material.

It includes our grounding plug GP1 for schuko sockets E/F and the canopy connector GCMV for canopies (you can choose between velcro or magnet to connect it to the canopy).

The base consists of two panels that are placed with an overlapping of 5 cm. The shield is made from HNG80 material that has a super high 80 dB shielding attenuation. You can easily screw grounding plugs onto the base. Our suggestion is to completely cover this shield with fabric or carpet which will also hide the 4 mm high electrical connectors and cables behind the bed.

Washing, ironing

• HNG80 can not be washed or cleaned.

How to install it

• (1). Put the two or three layers of this shield on the floor and make them overlap of approx 5 cm. Connect the plates together. All panels need to be laid on the same side with stepped side facing up.
• (1). connect the panels with 85cm cables (4).  Use the black tensions discs when screwing the cable lugs tight.
• Connect the grounding plug (2) with the 5 m long cable GL500 (5). Use the black tensions discs when screwing the cable lugs tight.
• Connect the canopy connector (3) with the canopy, either with the magnetic plate or velcro.
• The electrician must install the grounding plug (2) tightly in the socket outlet.

Grounding

This canopy should be grounded. Use our functional-equipotential bonding (FEB) product. Please find it under Grounding category of our shop.

Shielding attenuation HF & LF

This product protects against high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF). Unless otherwise stated, the indicated dB-values apply to 1 GHz. The measurement is from 600 MHz to 40 GHz according to standards ASTM D4935-10 or IEEE Std 299-2006.

This product also shield against low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF).

5G protection

This products shields against all 5G-frequencies.
